Tuena Heritage Walk

Historical Sites and Heritage Locations

Nestled in the valley between Crookwell and Bathurst, Tuena is still known for its fossicking and heritage. Gold was discovered in 1851 with the first post office built in 1852 with many stores and hotels coming to life in the years to follow. The town was officially named in 1859. See the beauty and history Tuena has to offer.
The churches on the hill are a great representation of the history of Tuena taking it in while visiting the General Store where the locals can tell you many stories about its past.
