At the Dubbo Observatory, you can view the planets, stars and galaxies through telescopes at night.
The 75-minute Night Sky & Telescope Viewing Session starts with an informative presentation under the stars by local astronomer, Peter Starr, followed by viewing the planets and stars through the telescopes. If you bring a compatible DSLR camera, you can get a photo of a colourful nebula through the telescope.
Or book in for a Premium Session (6 people max only) for a more detailed and personal experience. Take more photos, use of a pair of binoculars and a free printed astrophoto.
For keen photographers book an exclusive 2 hour astrophotography session using either your DSLR camera or use our camera through our telescope to photograph deep sky objects.
A gift shop is available where you can purchase astronomy books and gifts.
