Morven (Greater Hume Shire)

Rural

The small town of Morven lies on the road between Holbrook and Culcairn. Settled in the 1850s, it was a Cobb and Co stop for the changing and resting of horses. With the arrival of the railway line to the west of the village, the use of the Cobb and Co declined and the plans for Morven never materialised.

As one of the oldest licensed Cobb and Co coach stations in New South Wales, the remains of the old stables can still be seen next to the hotel.

Enjoy Morven with the locals at the local watering hole, the Round Hill Hotel. With live music regularly held on a Sunday, it’s a great place to enjoy a meal and cold beverage.
