Djukbinj National Park

Located along the Arnhem Highway, about an hour’s drive from Darwin, Djukbinj National Park forms part of the scenic Marrakai floodplains and includes sections of the Adelaide River catchment and drainage system. Thanks to its year-round water supply, the park is an important roosting and feeding site for waterbirds, including magpie geese, egrets and brolgas.

The park offers a scenic drive through a network of billabongs, stretching from Scotts Creek to Twin Billabong. Each stop along the way invites you to pause and observe the rich bird and aquatic life that thrives in the wetlands.

The Limilngan-Wulna people are the traditional custodians of this land and co-manage the park with Parks and Wildlife. For generations, this area has been a vital hunting ground, providing traditional foods and bush medicine for the local people.
