Tara Hills offers rural seclusion just 15km (20-minute drive) southeast of Kilkivan town and 60km (50-minute drive) northwest of Gympie. Enjoy a peaceful bush camp in this hilly, remote spot. Accessible by 4WD only. Vehicles must have good clearance as the creek crossing at the entrance may be inaccessible in wet weather. All campers need to be self-sufficient, with their own amenities. The Gympie region is a historic gold mining area, with plenty to see and do, an ideal day trip from your peaceful basecamp at Tara Hills.
