Dogwood Creek Walking Track

Historical Sites and Heritage Locations

Your afternoon walk is sorted with the 5-8 kilometre Dogwood Creek track, circling the western and northern perimeters of the town.

Kicking off at Chinaman’s Lagoon, your scenic stroll starts with water lily views (seasonal), before winding along Dogwood Creek where you can spot native flora and fauna. Alternatively commence your walk on the western side of the bridge (Warrego Highway) from Moraby Park which has plenty of parking for caravans and RV’s.

Join in with Park Run here each Saturday on the 5-kilometre track. Pitt’s Flat Footbridge and the original town cemetery, Dogwood Cemetery, are points of interest on the track.

Download the Soundtrails app on your phone and listen to historical stories along the track as well as around the township.
