Jamestown Memorial Park

Parks and Gardens

One of Jamestown’s best-kept secrets is Memorial Park. With shaded lawns, free BBQ facilities, toilets, and a playground, it’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy a picnic with family and friends.

Centrally located, Memorial Park is within easy walking distance of many local attractions. Take a peaceful stroll along nearby Diggers’ Walk beside Belalie Creek, explore the RM Williams Story across the road, or visit the Belalie Art Gallery and the Jamestown Railway Station Museum just down the street.

The park is also home to a rare Krupp Cannon captured during World War I. Only two of these historic cannons exist in Australia—the other is located at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra.

Memorial Park also hosts Jamestown’s popular Monthly Markets, set in the park’s relaxing and scenic surroundings.

While you’re in town, be sure to stop by the Jamestown Visitor Information Outlet to discover what’s on and make the most of your visit.
