Pildappa Rock
Things To Do Minnipa, Wudinna, South Australia
Located just 15 kilometres off the Eyre Highway via Minnipa, Pildappa Rock is a spectacular granite outcrop renowned for having some of the highest and longest wave formations on the Eyre Peninsula, rivalling those of Wave Rock. The rock’s sweeping curves—particularly along its northern, southern and south-eastern faces—create a striking natural feature, while its deep gnamma holes and surrounding gutter system highlight its unique geology.
Visitors can enjoy well-maintained picnic and barbecue facilities, explore the walking and driving trail around the base, or climb to the top for breathtaking, uninterrupted views across farmland to the distant Gawler Ranges and Blue Sturts. The site also offers toilet facilities, and camping at the neighbouring “Pildappa Park Campground”.
