Ocean Dunes Golf Course

Sports and Recreation Facilities

Fronting the Southern Ocean on the west coast of King Island (Tasmania), Ocean Dunes offers a pure links golf experience. With crashing waves on ocean-side holes, rolling dunes and unsurpassed views along 2km of majestic coastline, it’s sure to challenge and exhilarate all golfers.

The 18-hole course is fashioned after Scotland’s great links courses and offers heroic tee shots, fine fescue fairways and smooth firm bent grass greens. There are two signature par-three holes that cross the sea of Bass Strait, presenting a uniquely Tasmanian skill test.

King Island also offers to be gateway from the Melbourne Sandbelt to the top 4 public access courses in Australia. King Island’s Cape Wickham #1 and Ocean Dunes #4, along with Barnbougle Dunes #2 and Lost Farm #3 just another short flight away to mainland Tasmania. (Australian Golf Digest 2024 Top100).

Ocean Dunes has a clubhouse, bar and pro shop, all with ocean views. A range of “stay and play” packages include golf, car hire and accommodation. Located just five minutes from the airport and the main township of Currie.
