Galleries, Museums and Collections

dAda mUse is a celebration of surrealism, custodian to Australia’s largest collection of Salvador Dali’s works on paper.

The art gallery consists of two floors, Level 1 and 2, which together displays upwards of 200 rare and/or original pieces for public appreciation at a time; featured exhibitions are rotated seasonally. (Works by other prolific surrealists and inspirations of Dadaism, such as Goya, Durix, or Kujau, may also be present.)

dAda mUse occupies the historic ‘1842 Johnstone and Wilmot’ building – one of Launceston’s most noteworthy sites of old; great care has been taken to preserve and showcase its heritage features for visitors.
