Lone Goose Farm

Agri, Mining and Industry

Lone Goose Farm grows Muscovy ducks for Tasmania’s top restaurants. Located a 30 minute drive from Launceston, they open the farm for public tours in summer.

This is more than a farm tour, it’s an invitation to slow down, feel closer to the land and the stories behind your food.

Indulge in the very best of Tasmania’s farming, food and wine culture at Lone Goose Farm.

Tours run seasonally and are limited to three small group tours per week. During the warmer Summer months, there are plenty of ducklings and the farm is at its best.

On the tour you’ll:

– Walk the farm, and learn how the ducks are cared for at each stage of life.
– Hold a duckling and give the Jersey cows a scratch.
– Spend unhurried time outdoors with the animals and the people who care for them.

After the tour, you’re welcome to stay on and enjoy a relaxed lunch by the dam and experience living at Lone Goose Farm.

The grazing board happily feeds two people and showcases some of the best produce from the island.

The Farm is licensed, so you can enjoy a bottle of wine whilst you graze away. They’ve chosen some of their favourite Tasmanian wines – they might just have a glass with you.
