Lakes Explorer offers a water taxi service (up to four passengers) to visit remote lake-side jetties and beaches near Lakes Entrance. Fees are based on distance, number of passengers or time. Destinations include Lakes Entrance jetties, Barrier Landing, Flagstaff Jetty-Ocean Entrance, Rigby Island, Kalimna, Nyerimilang Jetty, Fraser Island Retreat (guests only).
Lakes Explorer Wildlife Boat Tours operate around the ocean entrance to the Gippsland Lakes. The educative boat tours focus on fur seals, pelicans, shorebirds, geography and occasionally dolphins. With a capacity of only two or three passengers, each tour may vary to suit the passengers. There are one or two hour options departing from Lakes Entrance. Departs as required, usually three or four days a week, if weather and tides are suitable.
All Water-Taxi and Wildlife Tours are run by Skipper Pete, a Certified ECO-Guide with Eco-Tourism Australia, a former Marine National Park Ranger, a qualified tour guide and member of Birdlife Australia. Lakes Explorer is a Licensed Tour Operator (DEECA Parks Victoria).

From $20 to $50
Guided Wildlife Boat Tours include one-hour and two-hour options with either two or three passengers. Wildlife may include Fur Seals, Dolphins, Pelicans, Sea Eagles, Oystercatchers, Cormorants (5 species), migratory birds.
Travel past the Ocean Entrance to Gippsland Lakes. Two hour option to circumnavigate Rigby Island and short walk at Barrier Landing.
All services are run by Skipper Pete, a Certified ECO-Guide with Eco-Tourism Australia. Skipper Pete is a former National Park Ranger, land and marine, a qualified tour guide and member of Birdlife Australia. Lakes Explorer is a Licensed Tour Operator (DEECA-Parks Victoria).
Please bring suitable clothing, footwear and drink. The Skipper has the right to modify or cancel an activity. Pay on board. Subject to suitable weather.

One way boat trip between two jetties or locations near Lakes Entrance. Suitable to gain access to remote houses, jetties, walking tracks and lake-side beaches that do not have road access. Space for luggage and food boxes. Self load heavy items.
Destinations include Myer Street Jetty, Post Office Jetty, Flagstaff Jetty (Ocean Entrance), Drews Jetty (West Entrance), Barrier Landing, Nyerimilang Jetty, and North Arm jetties. Does not go to Metung or Paynesville.
