Dimboola Murals

Landmarks and Buildings

Explore the beautiful colours and artsy side of the Dimboola murals as you discover them during your visit to the town.

The Travis Price Mural was created by street artist Travis Price who grew up in Dimboola. He returned to create a fantastic mural near the town library reflecting the the history of the township and local area. Travis draws inspiration for the artwork from the Wimmera River, which was an epicentre for activity and adventure when he was growing up. From swimming and fishing through to skiing and rowing, the river has always been a huge advantage over other towns within the region. The mural aims to convey the sense of freedom felt by the artist around the river as a teenager, with the focal point of the mural depicting a young woman submerged under the rivers surface guided by its current, flowing into a wreath of wheat and wattle. The design uses heritage style signage as reference to the heritage overlay of its location and acknowledges the traditional owners of the land, the Wotjobaluk people along with references to the towns previous and original names.

The Smug Mural was created by internationally renowned street artist Smug while staying in Dimboola painting the nearby Arkona Silo. The mural is found along the lane linking Lochiel Street to the rear of the Dimboola library.
