Werribee Outdoor Pool

Sports and Recreation Facilities

Enjoy the old-school cool of this inner-city oasis.

There are two pools to cool off in; a 50-metre lap pool including ramp access and a family pool that’s ideal for toddlers and older children. Both pools are heated. The family pool has a fun bubble area and a small waterfall that you can’t help but want to rest under. Many a game of tiggy and Marco Polo have been played here.

Werribee Outdoor Pool has a long history. The locals campaigned for the original pool built into the Werribee River, which runs along the edge of the new complex. You can take a short walk to see the remnants of the old pool still in the river.

Located on the banks of the river, the pool has lots of established trees to provide shade when relaxing on the grass or seating areas. A traditional kiosk is available for snacks but if you are after something more substantial you can grab something from one of the many cafes on Watton Street.

Werribee Outdoor Pool is part of Chirnside Park which includes Werribee Football Club and the Werribee Bowls Club and you’re just a short walk from the epic playgrounds of Wyndham Park.
