Katter Kich (Wave Rock) tours are designed to connect people to this extraordinary location and its Aboriginal history. Join guide and local Nyungar man Michael, who grew up in the region and has a strong cultural connection to this Country. Discover an ancient history of Nyungar people’s connection to Katter Kich, the Humps and the area around Hyden. Hear the Dreaming story of Katter Kich and how it is woven into the Nyungar creation story. Explore the diversity of wildlife and the importance of cultural knowledge, for understanding the seasons and how the impacted the availability of bush food and medicine plants.

Hippo’s Yawn walk along the unique rock formations and then climb up to the top of the granite outcrop to experience the amazing 360-degree view of the surrounding landscape. (There is an opt out route if participants choose not to walk to the top.)
Follow the tour guide to walk past the Hyden water catchment area and fireplace then down to the bottom of the rock to view ancient hand stencils. From this point return back along the base to the famously known and culturally significant ‘Wave in the granite, taking special note of the unique rock formations and flora along the way.

Be mesmerised by the changing hues of Wave Rock at sunset, while overhead flocks of pink and grey galahs roost in the tree-tops as you follow your local Aboriginal tour guide to Hippo’s Yawn exploring the unique rock formations. A moderate climb to the top of the rock is rewarded with spectacular 360-degree view of the surrounding landscape

Follow your local Noongar tour guide in your own 4WD vehicle as you visit unique and significant cultural sites including Katter Kich (Wave Rock) , Yongah Rock, Graham Rock and The Holland Track. At the end of the tour visit Katter Kich Gallery to view local arts, crafts, artefacts, bushfoods and souvenirs.

Follow your local Noongar tour guide as you ride comfortably as a passenger in their air-conditioned Prado, visiting unique and significant cultural sites including Katter Kich (Wave Rock), Yongah Rock, Graham Rock, and the Holland Track.
