Brian Creek Monsoon Forest

National Parks and Reserves

Brian Creek Monsoon Forest walk, in the Mary River National Park which is an hour’s drive from Darwin, is a short walk through a pocket of monsoon forest. Along the way, you will notice the contrast between the wildlife here and in the surrounding woodlands. These pockets are significant examples of remnant vegetation communities that are surrounded by dry lowland woodland savanna.

Allow 45 minutes for this relatively easy 2 kilometre return walk. A picnic table at the start of the track provides a quiet spot to rest and enjoy the surrounds.
