Lake Kurwongbah

Natural Attractions

Now an often-forgotten natural beauty, Lake Kurwongbah served as the beautiful backdrop to the Lakeside International Raceway from 1961 to 2001. Now, the lake is home to a wide variety of fish, bird and native animals – plus it’s quite the popular picnic spot near Brisbane.

The lake is great for kayaking, canoeing, rowing and stand-up paddle boarding. Fishing from a boat is prohibited. You may fish from the shoreline and paddle craft, click through to website for more information.
